The Headbox Feed Pump Concept is a total concept in the paper machine approach system when pumping stock and dilution water to the dilution water controlled headboxes of the fast running paper and board machines. For the perfect paper quality it is important the pumps give with a high efficiency a low energy consumption and durability for profitable production. Since the entire mill production passes through these pumps, they have to operate in a really reliable manner. Pressure pulsation initiated by the headbox feed pump, might create unacceptable variations of paper basis weight in the machine direction. This can have an affect on paper quality. Our headbox feed pump and the dilution water pump operate with very low-pressure pulsations and ensure the perfect paper quality. As the inner surfaces of the succeeding process equipment such as screen and headbox are normally finished to Ra 0.8µ or better, the headbox feed pump can also be polished to a high grade surface finish e.g. cotton ball test or even finer. |
