Edwin Healy
named President, Peter Flynn named Vice President Business

Thermo Fibertek
Inc. has named Edwin D. Healy as president of its subsidiary,
Thermo Black Clawson Inc., Middletown, Ohio, USA, effective
December 4, 2000.
Healy has spent
40 years in the pulp and paper industry, serving the past 14
years in positions within the Thermo Fibertek family of
companies. Prior to his appointment as President of Thermo Black
Clawson Inc., Healy served as Chairman of Thermo Black Clawson
Ltd., Wales, U.K.

He also served 10 years as President of Fiberprep, a former Thermo Fibertek company that joined forces
with Thermo Black Clawson in 1997. William Rainville, President
and CEO of Thermo Fibertek, pointed to Healy’s extensive
knowledge of the industry, his customer focus, and longstanding
relationship with Thermo Fibertek as key factors in the
appointment.
"I am
pleased to have the opportunity to lead and grow Thermo Black
Clawson, and to continue the company’s tradition of supplying
superior equipment and systems to the pulp and paper
industry," said Healy.
Healy holds
both bachelor and master degrees in chemical engineering with
pulp and paper certification from the University of Maine, Orono,
Maine, USA. He is also a longstanding member of industry
associations, Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper
Industry (TAPPI) and the Paper Industry Management Association
(PIMA).

In another
appointment, Edwin D. Healy named Peter J. Flynn as Vice
President of Business Development, effective January 8, 2001.
Flynn will be respon-sible for develop-ing and expanding Thermo
Black Clawson’s growth opportunities in the industry. |

Flynn has over 25 years
experience in the pulp and paper industry and comes to Thermo
Black Clawson from Koch Membrane Systems, Wilmington, MA, USA,
where he served as Vice President of Systems Engineering and
Fabrication. Prior to that he served as Vice President of
Operations for Voith Paper’s stock preparation group in
Mansfield, MA, USA. Flynn holds a B.S. Industrial Engineering
degree and a M.S. Environmental Engineering degree, both from
Northeastern University, Boston, MA, USA.

Mike Sieron,
Vice President of Sales for Thermo Black Clawson Inc., announces
the promotion of Art Jepsen to Business Development Manager -
Fiberline Screens. Effective immediately, Jepsen joins Thermo
Black Clawson's Fiberline and Pulping Liquors group and will be
responsible for the development and growth of the company's pulp
mill screening business. |

Jepsen brings
to the position over 40 year's experience in the chemical and
mechanical pulp screening arena. He joined Thermo Black Clawson
early in 2000 when the company acquired Gauld Equipment Company,
Theodore, Alabama, USA, where Jepsen served as Vice President -
Business Development.
"I cannot
think of a more qualified individual than Art to develop this
important segment of our business," states Sirron.
"His years of experience with Gauld Equipment and the
position he has held with other industry companies are a great
asset to our organization."
Jepsen is very
active in the Technical Association of the Pulp & Paper
Industry (TAPPI) and the Canadian Pulp and Paper Association
(CPPA). He currently sist on TAPPI's Mechanical Pulping and
Alkaline Pulping Committees and the Technical Section of CPPA.
Jepsen will
assume his new responsibilities from Thermo Black Clawson's
Theodore, Alabama location.

Mr. Raji Philip
has taken over as the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of the
state-owned paper giant Hindustan Paper Corporation (HPC) on
February 2001 in Calcutta. A post-graduate in management science
from the Indian Institute of Management (Bangalore), Mr. Philip
has served earlier several public sector giants like the NTPC,
IFFCO, Powergrid Corporation and Power Finance Corporation with
distinction.
Mr. Philip was the Managing Director of the Hindustan Newsprint
Limited, a subsidiary of the HPC, immediately prior to his
present assignment.
